How would you have played this hand? Other player was playing really tight up to this point. Though highly improbable, I didn't want to lose more if they were holding quads. They bet pot every step of the way.

Quads?

Thats like saying you folded KK because he migh have aces.

No here you've got the nuts more ore less (you've got the second nuts).

You have to bet more here on the turn to punish him for drawing low (assuming he is) Since there is literally 1 hand beating you, you wanna pump money in as fast as you can get away with it.

The flop call/turn check is fine...but when he bets you should Juice the pot a little so you can make a BIG OL BET on the river.

Again if he'd had a low hadn this'd be a rake-feeder and since ONLY ONE HAND beats you you'd like to fill that pot up with as much stack as your opponent will call.

Knowing what he had after the fact I'd say it should've been easy to get more or less all in on the turn.

In the hand I'd have proceeded with a little more caution. That turn pot sized bet (in reaction to your check) says to me "I'm either bluffing or I have a really good hand". If he's bluffing charge him to draw low, and if he's got a really good hand you should have no trouble getting it all in.

as a future note....almost never worry about the nuts when you've got second nuts. It is more common to run into them in hold'em but I think if you got it in every time with second nuts you'd come out WAY ahead even if you blindly stumbled into every nut hand when you had 2nd nut.

The best hand isn't a flush (which is COMMON to run into in omaha. Do be careful if you're not holding the nut flush) This time youo're beating any non existent flushes and the only thing that can take your chips away is if he's holding exactly QQXX.

He's almost certainly NOT because he minraised your min-bet on the flop. Thats not a very good pot-building move, not even in a pot limit game. He should've juiced the pot a few blinds more so that the turn could be a truly sizable bet.

The way I look at it is if you have top boat or a monster in any case and you lose to a bigger monster, you just have to pay them off. That will happen so few and far between that you have to try to get your money. I feel you may have played a little to passively. Remember they have to have BOTH QUEENS??? Highly unlikely, so keep raising. If they have it they have it and you take your lumps.

I think you played it fine. You had a good hand, but NOT the nuts. With her being a tight player you were right to be concerned.

Good going and good luck.

I would of made him pay me more , if he was that tight and he had quads he would of probably been unable to help himself from betting more with them ,also
I always make lo draws pay to chase it . I love omaha hilo you can clean up on pokerstars playing that , GL
